Beauty of frost flowers and trees
PANO - Ice and frost have appeared in many places in Northern mountainous areas these days as the temperature has dropped to below zero degree Celsius, covering peach orchards, other trees and landscapes, creating a strange and glittering beauty.
The extreme cold weather has lasted for many days in Dong Van district, Ha Giang province. Frost covering the late blooming peach orchards there has formed a magical world like in a fairy tale that makes visitors delighted.
According to Giang A Phon, director of a travel company in Ha Giang, on February 20, a large number of tourists flocked to Lao Xa hamlet, Sung La commune, Dong Van district. They were surprised at the fairyland-like scenery.
However, apart from creating a strange beauty, frost has also harmed production and crops. “The beauty is short-lived, only for a few days. This can be called the beauty of pain, because after the ice melts, the flowers also fade,” said Phon.
Like Dong Van, the temperature in Mau Son (Lang Son province) has dropped to -0.4oC and frost has covered the area. The same image has been seen on the peak of Mounts Phja Oac, Mau Son, Meo Vac.
