Themed “Online travel, Vietnam tourism looks toward the fourth industrial revolution,” the event aims to encourage travel firms to promptly apply modern technology to sell their products, thus promoting their capacity to attract and serve customers online. The event will have 500 pavilions.

Major activities will include seminars on online tourism, an international street food festival, conferences, introduction of destinations and signing ceremonies for several cooperation deals.

More than 40,000 discounted air tickets and 15,000 discounted package tours will be on offer at the fair.

Some 650 businesses from 18 countries and territories, as well as from 43 provinces and cities nationwide have so far registered to take part in the VITM Hanoi 2018.
