The Department of International Relations under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and CNN have completed negotiations on the programme to promote Vietnam’s tourism on this famous television channel.
Images of Vietnam’s tourism will be advertised on CNN’s Asia channel, with a total cost of US$250,000, said Nguyen Van Tinh, Head of the Department of International Relations.
“We are waiting for the Finance Ministry’s financial approval to sign a tourism promotion contract with CNN for this upcoming September”, Tinh added.
In late 2007, several tourist spots in Vietnam such as Ha Long Bay, Hue, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh city, for the first time were introduced on CNN with a total expense of nearly US$300,000.
