PANO – About 50 Vietnamese travel agencies are attending the 2016 International Tourism Fair (ITB) opened on March 9th in Berlin, Germany.
The Vietnamese booth stands out with a replica of the gate of Doan Mon of the Thang Long Royal Citadel in Hanoi, one of the most important existing remains of the country’s history.

There is also a LED screen displaying Vietnamese beautiful landscapes and introducing the participants’ products and services.
In his opening speech, Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Taleb Rifai praised the beauty of Vietnam’s land and people and highlighted the increased number of foreign tourists to the S-shaped country over the past years.
Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh held that Vietnam’s participation to the event aims to popularize its tourism potential to international friends and raise its position to the world’s tourism map.
The 2016 International Tourism Fair, the world largest annual event of its kind, gathers nearly 10,000 travel companies, hotels, tourism groups and restaurants from 187 countries and territories around the world, and will remain open through March 13th.
