Vietnam, Japan sign cooperation agreement
PANO – A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and Japan Tourism Agency on March 28 in Hanoi, aiming at promoting bilateral tourism between the two countries.

Accordingly, the two sides will take part in fairs, exhibitions, seminars and international conferences on tourism to be held in the other country to exchange experiences and good models of tourism promotion and tourism development policies... The same day, the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) opened its representative office in Vietnam.
In 2016, Vietnam welcomed 740,000 Japanese visitors, up by 10% compared to 2015 while about 233,000 Vietnamese visitors traveled to Japan, up by 26% from 2015. The two countries aim to reach 1.5 billion two-way arrivals in 2018.
