PANO – A visiting Japanese delegation, led by Major General Katsuki Takada from the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force’s Staff Office, on January 20th worked with Military Hospital 175 of the Ministry of National Defence on medical issues and the deployment of the level-2 field hospital to UN peacekeeping missions.
During the working session, the two sides discussed and agreed on promoting and exchanging experience of preparing for the deployment of the level-2 field hospital, sending Japanese military doctors and nurses to Vietnam to share their experience and transfer new medical technology, and dispatching Vietnamese delegations of doctors to Japan to take part in a short-term training course, as well as organizing training courses.
With rich experience in UN peacekeeping operations and strong military medical potential, the Japanese delegation pledged to assist Military Hospital 175 in this field and contribute to promoting the Vietnam-Japan defence cooperation.
