Various activities will be held during the event.

According to organizers, as of July 9, 500 businesses from 54 provinces and cities have registered to participate in the event. More especially, this year’s event will welcome Vietnam-based foreign firms and agencies from Thailand, Singapore, Japan, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, the UAE, Quatar, Peru, and Colombia.

Speaking at a press conference in Hanoi on July 9, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh expressed his hope to turn VITM into a national event which creates opportunities for localities, organizations, and businesses to popularize their brands and products. The event is also a chance for tourism management and promotion agencies and businesses to discuss and seek measures to develop Vietnamese tourism after the pandemic. Binh said that organizers encourage participating firms and organizations to raise initiatives in tourism management and business, in combination with technological applications.

There will also be a forum on Vietnamese tourism with the participation of tech and tourism experts from Google and Booking.com, along with the VITM Marathon to be held online from July 31 to August 9 with the aim of connecting the Vietnamese tourism community.
