Vietnam Airlines adjusts flight schedule to RoK due to typhoon
Vietnam Airlines said it has changed the schedule of several flights between Vietnamese localities and the Republic of Korea’s Seoul and Busan cities on September 6 and 7 to ensure safety due to impact of Typhoon Lingling.
Accordingly, flights coded VN416 and VN408 from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Seoul will depart 30 minutes earlier on September 6. A similar timetable adjustment is also applied to flight VN430 between Da Nang and Seoul on September 7.
On September 7, the national flag carrier also delays departure time by between 6 and 9 hours with flights coded VN426, VN427, VN422, VN423 from Hanoi and HCM City to Busan; and by 8 hours with flights coded VN414, VN415, VN404, and VN405 between the two Vietnamese cities and Seoul.
Meanwhile, flights VN436 and VN437 between Da Nang and Busan on the same day will be cancelled.
Affected passengers will be supported to switch to other flights if requested. Those booked the cancelled flights will have their trips rebooked free-of-charge to connecting flights that transit in Hanoi and HCM City.
Passengers planning to go from and to Seoul and Busan are recommended to keep updated on the weather conditions and Vietnam Airlines’ related information.
