In recent days, especially on weekends, many roads in Moc Chau have been packed with tourists. Along roads surrounding valleys of plum, peach, persimmon, and orange blossoms, long convoys of vehicles have stretched for several kilometers. Some major routes, such as the road to Ang hamlet, areas of Tan Lap commune, and the road leading to Long Sap Border Gate, have experienced prolonged traffic congestion.

According to Head of the Moc Chau Division of Culture and Information Dinh Thi Huong, “in the first two months of 2026, Moc Chau is expected to welcome around 980,000 visitors, with total social tourism revenue estimated at more than VND 1.2 trillion.”

Explaining this situation, travel agencies said that tourism trends focusing on nature exploration and community-based experiences during the Tet holiday have become increasingly popular in recent years.

Moc Chau has advantages in climate and picturesque natural landscapes, with flowers blooming in abundance. Particularly during this period, Moc Chau features a wide variety of flowers and fruits, from mustard flowers, cherry blossoms, apricot, plum, and peach blossoms to persimmons, oranges, and strawberries.

Thanks to its unique climate, Moc Chau has become a favorite check-in destination for many tourists. In addition, Moc Chau’s local culture is marked by distinctive characteristics of ethnic groups such as Thai, Dao, and H’mong. In recent years, many visitors have also come to Moc Chau to take photos at Bach Long Glass Bridge, the world’s longest glass pedestrian bridge, recognized by Guinness World Records.

Hoang Manh Duy, Deputy Executive Director of Moc Chau Island, said, “From November to April each year, the peak tourism season in Moc Chau features many activities associated with flower seasons, such as white mustard flowers, apricot, plum, and peach blossoms. However, Moc Chau is no longer limited to seasonal tourism activities but can now attract visitors year-round. Moc Chau Island also hosts an off-road motorcycle race and the Rain-Praying Festival of the White Thai ethnic group in March; activities associated with the green tea hills in April and May; and the plum harvest season in late spring.”

Duy added that every September, Moc Chau Island organizes the annual “Love Market,” a large-scale cultural event held from August 31 to early September. In some years, the event has attracted up to 18,000 tourists and spectators in just one festival night.
