PANO - The budget airline Jetstar Pacific officially opened non-stop flights from Hanoi to Quy Nhon city in Binh Dinh province and Chu Lai city in Quang Ngai province on June 1st.

The first two flights with some 360 passengers on board landed at Quy Nhon and Chu Lai airports the same day.

The operation of the new routes is expected to benefit tourism in these provinces.

The airline plans to operate three two-way flights per week on each air route, using Airbus A320.

On the occasion of opening the air routes, the airline offered cheap airfares at VND 188,000 each for Hanoi-Chu Lai and Hanoi-Quy Nhon flights from 11 am June 1st to June 2nd.

Last year the airline opened two air routes, namely Ho Chi Minh City-Chu Lai and Ho Chi Minh City-Quy Nhon.

The airline has so far operated 19 air routes, domestically and internationally. It plans to increase its fleet to 18 A320/321s this year and 30 A320s by 2020.
