* Voted by tourists on the prestigious US website Thrillist (www.thrillist.com), Vietnam ranks the 5th among 11 countries in Southeast Asia as the most desirable countries for travel. According to this website, Vietnam lures visitors with its tourist attractions of grand landscapes, various subtle culinary dishes, typical oriental features mingled with regional identities, and more.
* The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has just issued a tentative promotion plan for the industry in 2016. In 2015, Vietnam ran two annual international travel fairs, namely Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) in Hanoi in April and International Travel Event-HCMC (ITE-HCMC) in Ho Chi Minh City in September. As of 2016, the industry will open the annual Da Nang International Travel Fair in June. The event is co-organized by the municipal People’s Committee of Da Nang and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
