On August 24th, the Fujimaru carried 480 students from Hyogo Prefecture, Japan to Ho Chi Minh City, the first stop of their sea training course in three Asian countries including Vietnam, Singapore and China.

18 Vietnamese students from universities in HCMC were invited to take part in the ongoing course.

In HCMC, foreign students took part in seminars on Vietnam such as its history, culture, language as well as development, with the participation of Vietnamese and Japanese experts.

The visit is one of several activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the relationship between the two countries.

The same day, more than 200 visitors, mainly Japanese businessmen, students, workers and other foreigners who are living in HCMC, and many Vietnamese guests took part in a tea ceremony at the New World Hotel.
