Indian tourism potential introduced in HCM City
PANO - The Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City on March 20 held a seminar “Come to an amazing India 2019”.
The event, drawing 50 Vietnamese and Indian travel agents, aimed to introduce Indian culture, tourism, food, and landscapes to the local public.
India is famous for cultural, historical, religious and natural heritages, including 37 world heritage sites and 25 biogeographic zones, which are expected to bring interesting experiences to tourists.
In 2018 alone, India welcomed more than 31,400 Vietnamese arrivals, up by 32 percent compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, Indian tourists to HCM City reached nearly 103,000, a year-on-year increase of 80.9 percent and accounting for 50 percent of the total Indian arrivals in g Vietnam.
