In 2024, Hanoi aims to welcome over 27 million visitors, including more than 5.5 million international tourists and 21.5 million domestic tourists. The total revenue from tourism is expected to exceed VND 109.41 trillion, with the average room occupancy rate at lodges and hotels reaching at least 62 percent.

Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Municipal Department of Tourism, stated that 2024 holds special significance as it marks the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Hanoi Capital (October 10). Numerous ongoing and upcoming events will draw a significant number of visitors, both domestic and international, to the capital city. This presents a prime opportunity for Hanoi’s tourism sector, especially the hotels, to attract guests to stay and experience their services.

This tourism promotion program targets domestic tourists, especially during the summer-autumn season of 2024. Notably, the program is not only aimed at tourists from other provinces and cities but also seeks to attract residents living and working in Hanoi.

In addition to preferential price policies, the promotion program includes attractive service packages. Representatives from JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi mentioned that they have designed packages for Hanoi families to enjoy staycations in the city. JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi also organizes folk games for guests to explore and learn about the Vietnamese culture. Meanwhile, Meliá Hanoi welcomes guests to enjoy a vibrant summer in the city with their “Family Summer Break” package, offering experiences like ceramic painting, afternoon tea, and Mediterranean-style relaxation, as noted by Santiago Cabre, General Manager of Meliá Hanoi.

Other promotions include the “City Vacation” and “Luxury Afternoon Tea” packages at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi; the “Summer Indulgence Staycation” at Hotel de l’Opera Hanoi; and the “Joyful Summer Vacation” at Movenpick Living West Hanoi.
