Foreign tourists to Vietnam up during Tet holidays
PANO – The number of foreign visitors to Vietnam has increased sharply since early this year, especially during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
Accordingly, Vietnam welcomed over 1 million foreign visitors, up by 23.5% compared to the same period last year. The number of visitors arriving by air increased by 26.6% and by land increased by 15.5%.

The number of visitors from countries such as China, the Republic of Korea (RoK), the US and Russia increased by 67.9%, 15.1%, 17.2%, 36.5%, respectively, bringing about a revenue of VND 38 trillion, up 28.5 percent year-on-year.
* During the Tet holiday, Da Lat received more than 265,000 tourists. On February 1, due to a large number of tourists flocked to Da Lat city, Lam Dong province. Most motels and hotels were full and catering services and entertainment prices increased by two or three times more than usual.
According to the Lam Dong provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from January 26 to February 2, the province welcomed over 265,000 tourists. The cherry flower festival in Da Lat, held between February 11 and 13, is expected to attract a large number of visitors to the city.
