With the theme "Blue Wave Dance," this year's Da Nang beach tourism season features dozens of outstanding activities, such as artistic kite performances, an international beach rescue competition, a beach swimming tournament under the theme “Overcoming the Waves of Da Nang Summer 2025,” a SUP competition named “Danang Color Race 2025,” and a beach sports festival.

At this time of the year in Da Nang, tourists can enjoy the festive atmosphere at Ba Na Hills, the vibrant and modern pace of life downtown, and cultural richness at the Da Nang Museum. During the peak of the season, there will be the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 from May 31 to July 12, the third Da Nang Asian Film Festival from June 29 to July 5, as well as Vietnam - ASEAN, Vietnam - Japan, and Vietnam - Republic of Korea festivals.
Walking along the coastal roads, visitors can easily find luxury hotels. Da Nang also offers a variety of accommodation options such as homestays, apartments, and dormitories in the city center.
To continuously attract tourists, Head of the Municipal Tourism Association Cao Tri Dung said that the city has hosted a wide range of promotional programs, enhanced marketing in key markets, and launched new tourism products. Thus, the city’s appeal to markets is significant. He added that search interest in Da Nang from both domestic and international markets, particularly Australia and the U.S., has increased. “This is a very positive signal for Da Nang," Dung emphasized.
Importantly, Da Nang has recently welcomed major airlines opening direct flights to the city, including Emirates, which will launch the Dubai - Da Nang route in June. With the addition of many new routes, Da Nang has truly become one of the international gateways to Vietnam.
Safe and healthy tourism environment
During the recent April 30 and May 1 holidays, the number of domestic visitors to Da Nang increased by about 20%–30% compared to the same period last year. In the first four months of 2025, the total number of visitors served by accommodation establishments was estimated at more than 3.5 million, up 18.6% year-on-year. Of those, over 1.7 million were international visitors. This confirms that 2025 will continue to be a successful year for Da Nang’s tourism, the “City Worth Living In,” the “City of Bridges,” and the “City of Events and Festivals.”
This year, the central city is building a new "brand" as a “luxury and ultra-luxury high-end service destination.” It has gradually developed a product ecosystem for high-spending customers. Billionaire Bill Gates, tennis star Roger Federer, and other high-profile groups have registered to visit the city this year.
To retain tourists, ensure service quality, and maintain a safe and healthy tourism environment during the peak season, Director of the Municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh said that local tourism facilities have been urged to make thorough preparations to avoid price hikes and unprofessional service, keep beaches clean and safe, and ensure food safety.
In the near future, with its tremendous potential, abundant resources, and well-aligned development strategy, Da Nang will have many opportunities to make strong breakthroughs, becoming a leading tourist center in Southeast Asia and cementing its reputation as a safe, friendly, and professional destination in the hearts of both domestic and international travelers.
