Bo Da pagoda to be recognized as national relic site
PANO – The People’s Committee of Bac Giang province held a press conference on the organization of a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing Bo Da pagoda in Viet Yen district as a Special National Relic on March 12.
The spiritual tourism site of Bo Da pagoda is a place of “tam giao dong nguyen” (three teachings harmonized as one) including Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. The pagoda’s unique architecture is different from other traditional pagodas in the North of Vietnam.

The compound of Bo De pagoda, built in the 11th century by the Ly Dynasty, includes an ancient pagoda Bo Da Son known as Bo Da pagoda or Quan Am pagoda; and Tu An Tu and Am Tu Duc pagodas. In addition, there is a temple of General Thach Tuong who fought foreign invaders during the reign of the 16th Hung king.
Besides, the pagoda also preserves many rare objects such as the system of Buddhist statues of the Truc Lam Zen, Buddhist scriptures, and epitaphs.
Bac Giang province has ned prepared human resources and tourism products to attract more tourists.
