Bac Giang Youth Club for Youths with Disabilities gives gifts to disadvantaged members.

The club is a hub where people with disabilities can exchange, help each other and organize events such as establishing badminton teams, organizing sports friendship tournaments, and career orientation programs.

Despite complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, they performed a variety of activities for people with disabilities. Remarkably, the online photo contest titled “Beauty of women with disabilities in Bac Giang” aimed to honor the women’s confidence and raise community awareness of and responsibility toward gender equality. In addition, they collaborated with the district Youth Union Organization and affiliated district clubs to establish a program “Cozy Tet (lunar New Year) holiday during COVID-19 pandemic,” giving gifts to disadvantaged members in the neighborhood.

“My body is not complete, but my heart and soul are. All of the club members consider the club our second home. Being treated equally is the motivation for us to confidently integrate and develop in life,” said Chu Van Tu, a club member.

“As a person with disabilities, I fully understand the hardships and inferiority complex when making a living and integrating into the community. I wish all people with disabilities to have a stable job, a happy family, and lead their life confidently. In the spirit “No one is left behind,” the club is building a system of district-level clubs to help disadvantaged people in remote regions,” said the club president Le Viet Thuan.
