PANO - The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Worker Support Center organised a mass wedding, “Honour the beauty of Vietnamese culture”, for 100 couples, living and and working in Ho Chi Minh and surrounding provinces, on September 2nd at Grand Palace Conference Centre.

During this year’s program, couples took part in electric bicycle parade through roads of Dong Khoi, Le Thanh Ton, Nguyen Hue and Nam Ky khoi nghia and offered incense at Ho Chi Minh Statue.

Attending the ceremony, couples had to pay only VND1million to have a full wedding ceremony with rings, cakes, flowers, photographs, costumes, makeup and also a gift of VND2 million in a bank account.

The program will also organised a training course, “Building a happy family” for couples and ten neediest couples will be given further support in the first year of marriage.

Organised for the first time in 2007, the program aims to help needy couples have low-cost and happy wedding ceremonies.
