Winners of writing contest on traffic safety awarded
PANO - On March 31, the Kinh te & Do thi (Economics and Urban Affairs) Newspaper, in association with the Hanoi Municipal Board for Traffic Safety and relevant agencies, held an awarding ceremony in Hanoi to honor the winners of the “For the capital’s traffic safety” writing contest in 2017.
Annually held since 2011, the contest has become a means for citizens to give their comments on urban traffic to the city’s leadership and to help raise locals’ awareness of ever-changing traffic culture.
In 2017, the contest received nearly 30,000 entries, the highest number since its first launch. The organizing panel handed one first, two second, five third and 22 consolation prizes to individuals and 11 prizes to groups.
The People’s Army Newspaper received the third prize for the article “A breakthrough for public traffic” by Vu Dung and Manh Hung.
On this occasion, the organizing panel also launched the 2018 writing contest.
