PANO – The Vietnam Post Office Corporation, in association with the Young Pioneer Newspaper on May 11, held an awards ceremony to honor the winners of the 47th Universal Postal Union (UPU) International Letter-Writing Contest in Hanoi.
The national contest, themed “Imagine you are a letter travelling through time. What message do you wish to convey to your readers?" attracted over one million entries from students under 15 years of age from across the country, between October 2017 and March 2018.
The jury board of the contest selected and awarded one first, three second, five third, and 30 consolation prizes to outstanding entries. The first prize was awarded to Nguyen Thi Bach Duong, a student of grade eight in Nguyen Trai high school (Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province).
Duong's letter was translated into French and English to compete at the 47th UPU International Letter-Writing Competition in Switzerland.
