This is the highest award Vietnamese students have achieved since their first participation in the fair in 2013.

The second prize-winning project in the field of Systems Software was designed by Nguyen Le Quoc Bao and Le Tuan Hy, 12th-grade students from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted in Ho Chi Minh City. This project also received the 4th place award (Special Award) from the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).

Regeneron ISEF 2024 was held from May 11 to 17 in Los Angeles, California, the U.S.. This year's fair featured participants from 67 countries with 1,699 high school students and 1,353 projects. Among them, there were 1,082 individual projects and 271 team projects across 21 fields. The Vietnamese delegation participated with 9 projects (1 individual and 8 team projects) across 9 fields.
