Vietnam wins global cyber security competition
Team CLGTftMeePwn of Vietnam won the first prize at the WhiteHat Grand Prix 2017 cyber security competition, which took place in Hanoi on December 16-17 under the theme “Vietnam Heritages”.

The Vietnamese team came first with
7,211 points followed by Team 217 from China’s
Taiwan 6,111 points and the US team Dogfish
4,611 points.
The grand prize was worth VND 225
million (about USD 10,000), while the second and third prizes were valued
at USD 2,000 and USD 1,000 respectively.
Jointly held by Vietnam’s technology
group Bkav and the Authority of Information Security under the Ministry of
Information and Communications, the event drew 452 competitors from 62
countries and territories.
WhiteHat Grand Prix was first held
in 2014 and expanded globally from 2015. In 2016, it attracted more than 500
teams from 52 countries.
