Vietnam, Singapore strengthen cooperation in cancer treatment
PANO - A ceremony to announce a cooperation program on cancer treatment between Vietnam and Singapore was held on January 17 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, the cooperation program will focus on organizing screening tests, providing health counseling and treatment, coordinating multimodality treatment of cancer with the participation of top doctors from Singapore. Vietnamese patients will receive treatment at the Singapore-Vietnam Cancer Center. The center is built and equipped with modern facilities meeting international medical standards.
According to Doctor Charles Tsang, Senior Advisor of the National University Hospital, Singapore General Hospital; the joint program in cancer treatment between the two countries via the center will offer many opportunities for cancer patients in Vietnam. Through this program, many patients will receive a lot of good conditions on reducing treatment costs and enjoying the most advanced treatment regimens in the world such as radiation therapy, multi-paradigm treatment and more.
