Troubled trawler saved at sea
PANO - Ship KN-414 of Fisheries Surveillance Squadron No.4 of the Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Force successfully rescued a troubled trawler on October 25.

Earlier, a trawler, numbered BD 97865 TS, captained by La Thanh Hung from Tam Quan Bac ward, Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province, experienced engine failure and went adrift at sea about 114 nautical miles off the East-Southeast of Phu Quy Island. There were seven crewmembers on board.The captain sent a mayday signal.
After receiving the information, Fisheries Surveillance Squadron No.4 sent its ship for the rescue mission. Despite strong winds and rough seas, the ships approached the troubled trawler and successfully towed it ashore for repair.
The ship then was handed over to the Border Guard Command of Binh Dinh province.
