* On September 22, a foreign fisherman was also saved by a rescue team of Khanh Hoa province.
Specifically, Ship SAR 27-01 of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center brought a foreign fisherman to Nha Trang Port (Khanh Hoa province).
Earlier, the center received information that Ship Forever Glory, numbered IMO: 477147100 from Hong Kong (China), had an accident while moving from the Republic of Korea to Singapore, about 312 nautical miles off Nha Trang city’s coast. Chinese fisherman Xuefeng (born in 1991) was suffering severe burns.
Accordingly, the center instructed the ship to give him first aid before reaching the scene. At 19:30 of the same day, SAR 27-01 successfully took the foreign fisherman ashore for further treatment.
* Ship KN 367 (Fisheries Surveillance Team No.3) took ashore an injured fisherman.
Previously, at 14:55 on September 20, ship KN 367 working about 40 nautical miles South-Southeast of Ly Son island district found a trawler on fire due to an electric short circuit. The on-fire trawler, numbered QNg-95339TS, was then rescued by the fishery surveillance ship.
At 15:30, the fire was under control but the trawler sank. Fishermen on board were given healthcare and then handed over to the Quang Ngai provincial Border Guard Command.
