Ta Dung National Park in the Central Highlands of Dak Nong is billed as a miniature Ha Long Bay. |
The park is expected to reduce greenhouse emissions, increase forest coverage, ensure environmental security, mitigate land erosion and floods, stabilize production and improve local livelihoods.
The PM asked the provincial People’s Committee to manage the park and direct investment projects to develop the site.
Ta Dung is famous for photogenic forests with some 2,000 kinds of fauna and flora. There are 62 animals listed in Vietnam’s Red Book and 248 others in the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species.
It also features the 2,000 meter Ta Dung mountain, the highest peak in Dak Nong province.
