Supportive Fund for Cancer Patients – Bright Tomorrow receiving the third-class Labor Order

Over the past 10 years, the fund has mobilized donors to provide medical assistance for nearly 33,000 cancer patients nationwide with a total of VND 54 billion.

In addition, the fund has supported drugs to cancer patients, worth more than VND 1,100 billion, provided free cancer screening tests for nearly 76,000 people, worth VND 41 billion in total.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan handed over the third-class Labor Order to the Supportive Fund for Cancer Patients – Bright Tomorrow.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Dao Hong Lan held that the fund has made great efforts to connect donors and cancer patients, contributing to assisting the patients to overcome financial difficulties and to be stronger during their fight against cancer.

Also, 12 outstanding groups and individuals, who made significant contribution to the development of the fund, were honored with the certificates of merit of the Health Minister at the ceremony.

On the occasion, Vice Sate President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented VND 50 million to the fund and 20 gifts to children with cancer.

In addition, the fund launched the texting campaign entitled "One message, millions of love for cancer patients" in 2022. This is the fund's annual program held since 2013 with the collaboration from the National Humanitarian Portal 1400. With each message “UT” sent to Portal 1406, VND 20,000 will be donated to poor cancer patients nationwide.
