The stamps

The stamp issuance is one of the several information dissemination activities to raise the public awareness of the COVID-19 pandemic and the nation’s responsibility and high resolve of combating the disease.

The collection has two stamps. One features the efforts of all people in fighting the pandemic. The other depicts the image of Vietnamese doctors working hard to find the best treatment to cure patients and research to produce vaccines to combat the virus. This stamp bears the image of doctors and nurses, with a raised fist in the background, demonstrating the high resolve to defeat the disease.

Forces depicted on the stamp collection are seen as a “living shield” to protect the people’s health.

The 31x46mm stamps, designed by painter Pham Trung Ha, will be circulated in 192 countries and territories under the Universal Postal Union. The deadline for supply of stamps on the public postal network is from March 31, 2020 to December 31, 2021.
