The event saw the participation of Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Information and Education Commission Vo Van Thuong, and Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung.

Mr. Vo Van Thuong (L) and Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung show a model of a stamp in the stamp collection

The stamp collection, consisting of one stamp model and one stamp block, was designed by painter Tran The Vinh with respective face values of VND 4,000 (USD 0.17) and VND 15,000.

The stamp collection is now available at the public postal network from August 27, 2019 to June 30, 2021.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Post Corporation also launched a special 2020 calendar themed “President Ho Chi Minh lives forever in the heart of the nation.”

Visitors watch a display of the seven-page calendar

Notably, the image of President Ho Chi Minh on the seven-page calendar is portrayed vividly and creatively in line with the country’s historical events. Particularly, the cover of the calendar demonstrates a photo of President Ho Chi Minh with a motto “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom.”

The release of the stamp collection and the calendar not only pays deep tribute to President Ho Chi Minh but also offers an opportunity for the whole people to recall and affirm theoretical and practical values of his historic testament to the national construction and defense cause.
