A vocational training school under the Youth Vocational Training Centre of the Quang Nam province Youth Union was put into operation on June 26 in Tra Tan, Bac Tra My mountainous district.
The same day, it opened two courses for 60 youths from the ethnic group of Cadong.
The centre in cooperation with the local Voluntary Youth Organisation spent 87 million VND to build the school under sponsorship of a French organisation named MFR.
The facility will provide vocational training mainly in agriculture for local youths, especially ethnic people.
In addition, the provincial authority of Quang Nam has given a US company the go ahead to build a vocational training centre in Chu Lai Economic Zone. The centre, which will include a campus, dormitaries, houses for teaching staff and other facilities, will be able to accommodate a number of trainees.
