PANO – A get-together for 600 workers in Ho Chi Minh City, who cannot return home to celebrate the 2015 Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday with their families, was held on February 14th in the presence of Secretary of the city’s Party Committee Le Thanh Hai.
Secretary Le Thanh Hai highly appreciated contributions of workers in the city’s industrial zones to its socio-economic development, and present Tet gifts and encouraged them to continue effectively carrying out production to ensure their stable life.
Previously, the city’s Labor Federation organized a Tet celebration for 500 families of needy workers who have to stay in the city during the national traditional festival. Besides, the federation has presented over 30,000 free bus tickets to other employees to return home for the Tet holiday.

On February 14th, Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, sent Tet greetings to Division 5 of Military Zone 7.
The General urged the unit to uphold its traditions, raise training and combat readiness quality, promote troops’ political stance and ability, and ensure watch and security during the coming Tet.
A delegation of Military Zone 1, led by its Deputy Commissar Major General Duong Dinh Thong, handed over Tet gifts worth VND 500 million to policy beneficiaries in Lang Son and Bac Kan provinces.

Border guards in Thai Binh province have received Tet presents by a delegation led by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Van Sinh.
The Military Women’s Board of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam Peoples Army has visited disabled children at the Centre for Vocational Training for Disabled and Disadvantaged Children in Hanoi on the occasion of the 2015 Lunar New Year.
Besides, the Ninh Binh provincial Military Command, the Coast Guard Region 3 Command, the Military Insurance Corporation and the Former Volunteer Youths' Association of Binh Thuan province have sent their delegations to give financial assistance to needy people nationwide to help them enjoy a warm Tet holiday.
