Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh addresses the event. |
VGCL President Nguyen Dinh Khang said the 75,000-initiative program was carried out from March 10 to May 31, 2021, the time when the entire country was joining hands to combat COVID-19 and realize the “twin targets,” so as to inspire patriotism, creativity, and self-resilience among workers, public employees, and labourers nationwide.
He noted this program attracted 250,177 initiatives, equivalent to over 300 percent of the target. They cover a wide range of fields and sectors, and most of the initiatives have generated concrete benefits, worth over 148.9 trillion VND (6.5 billion USD) in total.
Basing on this program’s success, the VGCL Presidium has implemented another calling for 1 million initiatives to surmount difficulties and defeat the COVID-19 pandemic. The new drive, taking place from September this year to 2023, has attracted a large number of civil servants, public employees, and workers across the country.
