The provincial authorities reported on regular discussions with their Chinese counterparts through conferences and seminars to ensure smooth collaboration.

The project is divided into two phases, spanning from the third quarter of 2024 to the fourth quarter of 2029 with an estimated total cost of 7.9 trillion VND (329.1 million USD). Funds will be used for constructing and expanding dedicated cargo transport routes, infrastructure and terminals.

Nguyen Thi Huong, Vice Chairwoman of the Foreign Ministry’s National Boundary Commission and head of the task force, shared some opinions about building and managing smart border gate models at Huu Nghi International Border Gate and Tan Thanh Border Gate in Lang Son.

She proposed that Lang Son province continue closely monitoring the project, effectively working with the Government Office to share information, and promptly report any issues arising during the implementation.
