The Standing Board of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) held a briefing on July 31 in Hanoi under the chair of VFF President Tran Thanh Man. The briefing aimed to discuss the organization of the awarding ceremony.

The second edition of the awards was launched on January 1, 2018 and last to June 21, 2019 by the VFF Central Committee, the Vietnam Journalists’ Association and the Vietnam Television.

The organizing panel received 1,046 entries from over 100 press agencies nationwide.

All entries followed the awards’ regulations and criteria, reflecting corruption cases, administrative reforms and fight against corruption and wastefulness.

Among them, the jury has selected 35 items for awards, including four A, nine B, ten C, and 12 consolation prizes.

Addressing the event, VFF President Tran Thanh Man spoke highly of the close coordination among the VFF Central Committee, the Vietnam Journalists’ Association and the Vietnam Television in organizing the awards and mobilizing journalists to join it.

He also affirmed that the VFF Central Committee and the Vietnam Journalists’ Association would always provide favorable conditions for all journalists to take part in such meaningful programs.
