Moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast to continue over the coming days, with possible whirlwinds, lightning and strong winds reaching level 6.

Authorities warned that flash floods and landslides could seriously affect the environment and directly threaten lives. They could also trigger localized landslides and traffic disruptions, and damage residential structures and socio-economic infrastructure.

Local authorities urged residents to closely monitor weather forecasts and official instructions; avoid low-water crossings, rivers, streams and deeply flooded areas during heavy rain or fast-moving water; and stay away from areas showing signs of soil or rock movement, steep cliffs or landslide risk. People were also asked to relocate proactively from hazardous areas and promptly report blocked waterways, landslides or other safety hazards to local authorities.
