With that goal, Hung Dao Agricultural Cooperative in Ngoc Quyen hamlet, Hung Dao commune, Cao Bang city has collaborated with many localities in Cao Bang province to instruct the Tay ethnic people to make agricultural products and join the clean food supply chain serving consumers.

In Phuc Sen commune of Quang Hoa district, Cooperative Hung Dao collaborated with the locality to deploy the model of planting sweet corn F1 SW1011 in connection with the products consumption on the area of 5 hectares and the participation of 84 households.

The participants received support from the collective in terms of  seeds, techniques, and production consumption. Unlike the previous time, the Tay ethnic people used to plant traditional species with low productivity.

Thanks to the supports from the collective, the Tay ethnic families harvest an average corn yield of 16 tons per hectare, earning VND 56 million each hectare in each crop.

Mr. Dam Dinh Dao, Secretary of the Phuc Sen Commune Party Committee said that the locality has created all favorable conditions for the cooperative to deploy the sweet corn growing model. Locals have enthusiastically supported and followed the instructions of technical staff, thus the productivity and product quality have been improved. The locality continues to coordinate with the cooperative to expand the sweet corn growing area up to 40 hectares, aiming to build a high-quality sweet corn area in the commune, he stressed.

In order to diversify agricultural products, Hung Dao Cooperative will continue to cooperate with farmers in the districts of Ha Quang, Nguyen Binh, and Hoa An to grow vegetable-type soybeans, yellow soybeans, passion fruit, sticky rice, and so on. The cooperative also supports farmers with seeds and fertilizers as well as provide training on farming techniques in accordance with conditions of each locality. The collective’s technical staff will supervise the entire process of planting, tending and harvesting to ensure standards and meet the strict requirements of the market.

According to Mr. Lai Duc Thu, Director of Hung Dao Cooperative, the investment in agricultural production often faces many difficulties due to the impact of weather, pests, market price, and so on. However, the cooperative has found a way to form a closed production process in order to limit negative effects and make products with good quality. Through the process of clean production, the value of food products is increased, so the people can benefit from their own agricultural products, he added.
