Around 8,000 people in the province were exposed to the toxic chemical, including nearly 1,000 of them and their handicapped children affected by AO/dioxin receiving monthly allowances. Over the past years, the province’s authorities raised nearly VND 4 billion from generous individuals and groups in the province to build gratitude houses, provide healthcare services, and present gifts to the victims.
At the ceremony, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee called on local agencies, organizations, and individuals to support dioxin victims, and raise strong voice for the struggle for justice of Vietnamese AO victims. On this occasion, more than 80 organizations and individuals donated more than VND 1.4 billion in support of dioxin victims.
