During the event, delegates enjoyed an artistic program that reenacted the student movements in Saigon – Gia Dinh – Cho Lon – Ho Chi Minh City. Together, they revisited the 74-year history of the students’ day, reaffirming the achievements of both the Vietnam Students' Association Central Committee and its chapter in Ho Chi Minh City over the past time.

Addressing the program, Chairman of the Vietnam Students' Association Nguyen Minh Triet stated that youths are the vanguard force in building, developing, and safeguarding the Fatherland. As the country enters a period of renovation and development, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) and the Vietnam Students' Association continue to organize emulation movements among students and youths.

According to Triet, these movements have engaged in a large number of students in various new fields and challenging areas. In recent years, to recognize the contribution of the youngsters and to provide an environment and motivation for students nationwide to study, practice, strive to improve themselves, the HCYU Central Committee has launched the “students with three good achievements” campaign aimed at students at high schools and vocational training centers, among other initiatives.

Within the framework of the program, the HCYU Central Committee awarded the “students with three good achievements” title in the 2022-2023 academic year to 55 students. Additionally, they bestowed the “students with good discipline” title in the 2022-2023 academic year upon 23 students from vocational training centers. The “students with five good achievements” title in 2023 was awarded to 77 students from colleges and universities, and exemplary learners for the 2022-2023 academic year. The HCYU Central Committee also praised 82 Youth Union officials and associations winning the “January Star” award in 2023.
