Hanoi pilots smart transport operation system
The Hanoi Transport Department on July 4 kicked off a pilot program on a transport operation center (TOC) with technological applications to mange the transport network in real-time.

It is fully equipped to measure traffic, monitor violations, provide information, control smart traffic lights and peripheral equipment installed at two pilot intersections.
During the pilot program, the center will join the traffic monitoring system in the city; provide traffic information; offer support in handling traffic violations; and manage public transportation, traffic infrastructure, parking, and others.
Speaking at the inauguration, Director of the department Nguyen Phi Thuong said that the center’s operation is a basic foundation for the city to develop a smart traffic system.
