The delegation met with, encouraged, and presented gifts to the officers, soldiers, and local residents. This event was held at Radar Station 590, under Regiment 251 of Naval Region 2.

Former Vice State President Truong My Hoa expressed her happiness at the positive changes in Con Dao. She noted that the island district has grown wealthier, with improved infrastructure, schools, and housing, contributing to enhancing quality of life for local people.

She also encouraged the officers, soldiers, and citizens to continue fulfilling their duties and contributing to the further development of Con Dao.

Earlier, the delegation held a memorial ceremony and offered incense at Hang Duong War Cemetery. They observed a moment of silence to honor the heroic martyrs and patriotic individuals who sacrificed their lives in Con Dao Prison. After the memorial, they visited and offered incense at the tombs of heroes, such as Le Hong Phong, Nguyen An Ninh, and Vo Thi Sau, before visiting Con Dao Prison.
