It was part of the annual activities launched by the HAUFO, one of the important friendship exchanges in the year, and an activity to realize Hanoi’s commitments to addressing climate change-affected urbanization issues.

In his speech, HAUFO President Nguyen Ngoc Ky emphasized that the cycling journey aimed to raise local people and international friends’ awareness of preserving a green environment and taking actions to protect the environment and reduce air pollution. The event also encouraged the use of environmentally-friendly bikes and doing exercise.

On behalf of international participants, Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Denny Abdi spoke highly of HAUFO’s journey and the organization’s efforts to tighten the relationship among diplomatic corps and international organizations in Hanoi, promoting friendship among nations and helping build regional and international community of peace, cooperation and development.

On the occasion, the organizers presented 10 bikes to disadvantaged students with good academic records in Hoan Kiem district.
