The contest aims to build students’ cultural behavior when participating in the traffic as well as help them with knowledge of traffic safety in a close, natural and attractive way.
The contest is conducted throughout the country from January to May 2019 with three rounds of online multiple choice questions: at school (from January 7 to March 29), the provincial and municipal level (from April 15 to 24), and the national-level finale in May, targeting secondary and high school students.
There are more than 1,000 questions about road traffic rules, 600 questions about traffic culture and 200 situational questions in the form of 3D videos, which have been crafted by the Legal Department under the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam.
Candidates have to create an account on the website http://giaothonghocduong.com.vn to join the contest and answer 30 questions in 15 minutes.
The results of the contest will be announced on the website, and prizes will be presented to winners after each round. Especially in the final round, apart from first, second and third prizes, the organizing panel will award one special prize worth VND 10 million to an outstanding finalist. In addition, 20 excellent collectives will be chosen for other prizes.
Starting from 2014, the competition has seen the gradual increase in the number of participants in each season. The first contest only attracted over 200,000 candidates, while the second and third drew 600,000 and 1 million participants, respectively.
