Forum on urban development held in Da Nang
PANO - The People’s Committee of Da Nang city, in collaboration with Japan’s Yokohama city government, on December 22 held the seventh Urban Development Forum under the program of technical cooperation on sustainable development between two localities.
The event was attended by leaders of departments and agencies of the two countries, and representatives the World Bank (WB).
At the forum, the delegates discussed pressing issues such as priority projects, solid waste management, relocation of railway stations, urban redevelopment, water environmental improvement in Tho Quang fishing port, and a number of projects that will be implemented over the coming time.
Since 2013, the two cities have gained numerous impressive results such as building action plans for strategic projects and active programs as well as researching and implementing several priority projects.
The Technical Co-operation Program for sustainable development between Da Nang and Yokohama has been one of the most successful bilateral co-operation projects of the Central Vietnamese city with any foreign cities.
