Representatives from the Asama Yuh Jiun International Company have handed over 30 Asama bicycles, worth more than VND 50 million, to new students in southern provinces.

The gifts are part of a scholarship programme launched in 2003 to help new students.

On this occasion, Prof. Phan Luong Cam, wife of the late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet, presented 15 scholarships to new students at universities and colleges, as she does every year to provide support for poor students. The Duy Loi Company also granted 10 scholarships to students.

On October 11th, 120 scholarships are expected to be presented to students in Southern provinces.
