Dak Lak children screened for congenital heart diseases
More than 1,500 children in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak received free screening and consultation for congenital heart diseases on April 19-21.
The programme was held by the province’s children protection fund in collaboration with Duc Tam Paediatrics Hospital and the general hospitals of Ea H’Leo and Krong Bong districts.
According to director of Dak Lak children protection fund Lam Dinh Nhien, besides screening, the programme will provide free surgeries for children with congenital heart diseases from poor families in mountainous, remote and ethnic areas, contributing to easing burden on their families.
