He added that the run is also a typical activity in the friendship and cooperation relations between Vietnam and Canada.
Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam Deborah Paul said all children deserve a healthy life, and people can make a difference in the life of less privileged children by helping them to receive treatment and realise their dreams.
She hoped that activities like the race will be expanded in the time to come, thus supporting more and more poor kids in Vietnam.
People's artist Le Khanh, singers Thai Thuy Linh and Duc Tuan, MC Phan Anh, and other famous artists joined the run.
By the December 2’s noon, over 1.1 billion VND (46,960 USD) was raised from the event. The entire amount will be managed by VinaCapital Fund, which supports the treatment for disadvantaged children with cancer and congenital heart disease at the National Children’s Hospital and the Hanoi Heart Hospital.
