Charity program held for poor patients
PANO - The Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital recently held the program “Charitable festival - Connecting love” on the occasion of the Vietnam Social Work Day (March 25).
At the event, over 100 patients under treatment at the hospital and their relatives have free hair cut by local barbers.
Meanwhile, the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRCS) Central Committee and the Humanitarian Organization “People’s Affection” handed over 20 special gifts worth VND 40 million, offered 300 meals, and organized a charity booth to call upon donors to offer another 500 gifts worth VND 65 million to impoverished patients.
Previously, the hospital launched a blood donation campaign to collect 273 blood units in Soc Son district, Hanoi, and mobilized VND 50 million from sponsors for charity activities in the locality.
