This year, Vietnam is the host country of the contest. It will take place from August 23 to 27 at the Quang Ninh Provincial Sports Complex in Ha Long city. Thirteen teams from 12 countries and territories have registered for the contest, including two from Vietnam. The event will be broadcast live by the Vietnam Television.
Themed “Harvest Day,” this year’s contest aims to honor the value of agricultural sector, especially terraced rice cultivation. Robots must perform tasks that simulate the rice cultivation process, from sowing seeds to harvesting.
Attentively, the organizing panel will apply augmented reality technology (Augmented Reality - AR). This is a technology that incorporates virtual elements into real environment on the field, creating a new and interactive experience for viewers.
