Air passengers will be asked to give US$ 0.5-2 each for every Jetstar Pacific flight for a campaign to reduce greenhouse emissions.
The programme is organised by Vietnam Environmental Protection Fund (VEPF - Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment) in association with Jetstar Pacific.
Passengers will pay an extra 50 cents for domestic flights of less than 1.5 hours and US$ 1 for longer flights.
For international flights, they will give an additional US$ 2 each.
An airline representative says that passengers will decide whether to take part in the campaign or not.
All proceeds will be given to VEPF to sponsor environmental projects in Vietnam.
